Ysgoldy Fach, Cwmgiedd

Independent/Congregationalist

It would appear that Ysgoldy Fach was a second sunday school for Sardis Chapel, built in Cwmgiedd as part of competition with Yorath Chapel which had opened its own outreach Sunday school at Adulam Vestry in what is now Rhestr Fawr, directly behind Sardis Chapel.

Ysgoldy Fach was located in what is now a bungalow house near to the children's play area at the farther end of Cwmgiedd, by the Drefian estate.

From The Llais

The Llais newspaper had always included a round-up of happenings at local churches and chapels, even when these were not part of any particular story. Sometimes they advertised forthcoming events, and at other times who was preaching, or had preached there recently.
